Never one to mince words, nor fail to express an opinion about a personal passion, Suzanne has more recently explored the possibilities of quilts in responding to some challenges facing society. Collections of notes, quotes and clippings inspired her first foray into this area, and led to the sometimes tortuous development of Truth Decay.

Statement: This exploration of large scale improv curves from a workshop with Carole Lyles Shaw provided an opportunity to use a number of Aboriginal prints purchased in Alice Springs. Intensely quilted in support of the large shapes that emerged.

Statement: Combination of hand dyed indigo fabric, and white background – placement determined by using Irene Roderick’s “dancing with the wall” process. Straight line quilting with hand-painted thread.
