Julie-Anne is an artist who incorporates all forms of art media in her work, but her favourite is hand stitching. Most of her textile and mixed media art is purely done by hand – no machine sewing. She has travelled widely throughout her life, taking many photos, and creating many sketches along the way. This often shows in her work, but her great love is the work of Mother Nature. Plants and insects are favourite
subjects. The Australian bushfires in 2019/20 left her distraught and she has been working on a series from her photos of the after-effects of the fires since then, although taking breaks occasionally to create work with other themes.
Julie-Anne is an exhibiting artist and has work in collections across the world. She is available for teaching on request.

Cicada 3

Into the Gorge
