My life has always been full of creativity. At the age of 5 I played yarn shop, at 7 I learned to crochet, at 19 I got my art degree and studied art among other things. I also taught art education for a long time. I made pottery, knitted, photographed, painted, sewed, made collages. I still do that today – mainly with textile materials and techniques. I have been felting since 2002 and exhibiting art and installations worldwide since 2008. In 2013 I left the teachers’ circus and worked exclusively as an artist.
My works are often large-format and have a political, socio-critical or autobiographical background. Increasingly, however, I also use other traditional textile techniques, which I like to mix. In collages made of textile materials – felted, dyed, sewn, printed, sewn, embroidered – I continue to design the image content and create additional depth and structures.
My Photo-Felt-Collages combined structures in felt with photos. Another area of my work is ecoprinting, embroidering on old postcards and photos. Nowadays I also use photos and newspaper in quilts and other works.
